Effectuation is an decision-making and action logic of entrepreneurial expertise. What makes great entrepreneurs isn’t genetic or personality traits, risk-seeking behavior, money, or unique vision. Effectuation research has found that there is a science to entrepreneurship and that great entrepreneurs across industries, geographies, and time use a common logic, or thinking process, to solve entrepreneurial problems. Effectuation is a logic of entrepreneurial expertise that both novice and experienced entrepreneurs can use in the highly unpredictable start-up phase of a venture to reduce failure costs for the entrepreneur.

In these times of globalisation and migration, we are all interacting with people with different cultural backgrounds. Diversity is part of our daily life, no matter what profession we have, no matter if we want to see it or not. Intercultural contacts have become part and parcel of many people’s life in many different fields.
SIETAR Switzerland was founded in 2015 and is a diverse community of individuals and organisations, all sharing a strong interest in the intercultural field. We strive to raise intercultural awareness, taking a stance on intercultural topics in our multicultural society.
